Terms & Conditions of Service

1. Service Overview

TCG SCAN EUROPE provides a non-invasive authentication and analysis service for sealed trading card products (e.g., Booster Packs, Booster Boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes & other related products) using CT scanning technology. Our service is designed to verify the contents and authenticity of these items without breaking their original seals.


2. Client Responsibilities

  • Shipping to Us:

    • The client is responsible for shipping the product to us at their own expense. We strongly recommend using tracked and insured shipping for all submissions. TCG SCAN EUROPE is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delays incurred during this inbound shipping process.

  • Insurance:

    • Clients are solely responsible for insuring their packages for the full declared value during the shipment to us.


    3. Upon Receipt

  • Upon receiving your package, we will take a photograph of the unopened parcel to document its condition as it arrived at our facility.
  • If any damage or tampering is noticed upon arrival, the client will be notified before proceeding.


    • 4. Scanning Process & Handling

  • We will perform a CT scan of the sealed product using specialized equipment and procedures designed to avoid any damage.
  • Although every care is taken in handling your items, you acknowledge that no scanning or handling process is 100% risk-free, and you agree to waive TCG SCAN EUROPE of liability for minor wear or handling marks.


    • 5. Certificate of Results

  • Following the scan, we will provide a digital and/or physical certificate outlining our findings, including visible pack structures, contents, and potential anomalies. This analysis does not guarantee the market value or future resale price of the item.


    • 6. Authenticity Disclaimer

    TCG Scan Europe performs a non-invasive visual analysis and structural verification of sealed trading card products using CT scanning and expert review. Our evaluation considers known product layouts, card distribution patterns, pack positioning, and visible design elements.

    However, we cannot guarantee with 100% certainty the authenticity of the internal contents due to the limitations of non-destructive scanning. For example:

  • It is possible for counterfeit products to mimic the correct internal structure or appearance.
  • Packs, boxes, and cards may have convincing visual graphics or wrapping, but still be inauthentic or altered.
  • Without opening the product, we cannot test material composition, ink, or factory seals with full precision.

    • Our Certificate of Analysis provides a pass/fail judgment based on professional opinion and available data, but does not constitute a definitive guarantee of authenticity.

    By using this service, you acknowledge and agree that our findings are advisory in nature and based on non-invasive observation, and that true verification would require the item to be unsealed — which is not part of this service.


    7. Return Shipping

  • Once scanning is complete, we will return the item via a tracked and insured shipping method at our expense.
  • Return shipping includes insurance based on the declared value provided by the client. If no value is declared, we reserve the right to limit coverage.


    • 8. Liability Limitations

  • We are not liable for any damage, tampering, or loss caused by:
  • Shipping carriers, including delays or mishandling.
  • Customs inspections, including if customs authorities open or damage the sealed product.
  • Acts of God or other events outside our reasonable control.
  • In case of a confirmed loss during return shipping and where insurance is applicable, the shipping carrier’s insurance policy shall be the sole remedy.


    • 9. Tampering & Product Substitution Claims

  • We document the condition of your product upon arrival and scan it without opening the seal. Our process ensures non-intrusive verification only.
  • By using this service, you acknowledge and accept that:
  • TCG Scan Europe does not open, alter, or tamper with the sealed product.
  • Claims that the product has been swapped or altered after scanning must be supported with clear photographic/video proof prior to shipping.
  • Without such evidence, we cannot accept liability for alleged content substitution.


    • 10. Governing Law

  • These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict of laws principles.


    • 11. Acceptance of Terms

    By submitting your product to TCG Scan Europe, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
